How to Play Sic Bo

Play FREE Casino Games

Sic Bo is dice game that originated in China many centuries ago, and can be one of the most exciting dice games at a casino, either online or land-based. If you want to learn how to play Sic Bo, it’s a good idea to have a Sic Bo game on your computer, so that you can play along and learn as you read through this site. That way, you can get the most out of this learning experience, and play Sic Bo like a pro in no time at all.

When you first play Sic Bo, you’ll find that the table looks complicated, and it’s also lit from beneath so that the players only need to look at the table to see what the last dice roll was. If you want to give Sic Bo a try, all you have to do is sit down at the table, place your bet on the outcome of the dice roll that you think will win, and then sit back and wait for the lights. It’s pretty much a no-brainer in that way. But you do have to carefully consider your bets. Now, as far as the “dice roll” goes, there really isn’t one as in Craps. The dice are in a “Cage” and the dealer spins it in order to change the values of the dice. So, the dice that are used to play Sic Bo stay in a wire container called a cage, to make sure that there is no possibility of an unfair roll. Once the cage has stopped spinning, the dealer will enter the latest 3-number combination into an electronic keypad, and the display in the table will show everyone the new roll dice combination.

So as a beginner at this game you’ll notice the complex-looking table layout I’ve mentioned before. Don’t be put off by what you see; it’s very similar to Roulette and Craps in that it looks more complex than it really is. When you start to play Sic Bo, you’ll become familiar with the types of bets and how the combinations are displayed on the table. It’s really not as bad as it looks, and if you want to learn more about this, visit my page on Sic Bo Odds.

If you want to place a bet in an area of the table, all you have to do is put your chips down on that area. You’ll notice that the combinations that are most likely to be rolled will give you lower odds, and the less likely combinations give you higher odds. For example, a winning bet on any single triple (three dice of the same value) will pay you 180 to 1, while if you bet on either the “Small” or the “Big”, you’ll get paid at 1 to 1 when you win. When you start to play Sic Bo, you’ll see that there isn’t much to it; just figuring out which bets you want to make, and whether you’re willing to go for the big bucks or stick with the safe bets.

I know you’ll have fun when you play Sic Bo, and you should play for as long as you feel the need to improve your skills. When you’ve developed the confidence you need, you can head out to the casinos and go for gold!
